The Propane Gas Pipe for the Elevator Generator has been installed

The installation of the propane gas pipe, for the elevator generator, truly turned into quite the project. The first day the men arrived at 7:30, but the crane did not arrive until after 12. This was the first crane that arrived.

Besides there being multiple problems with this crane, the arm not extending etc., it was not big enough to reach the top of the building.

A second much bigger crane was brought in a few days later.

The pipe was successfully hung and blends with the building very nicely.

The vents have been moved out from the building to help with the dispersal of any gas smell.

Propane tanks are being placed on a concrete pad next to the loading dock. There will be 2 tanks. We should have 2 full days of elevator service before the tanks will need to be refilled. We will be able to easily fill the tanks at street level.

The final connection of the propane pipe with the tanks and generator should be finished by the end of the month.

Hurricane Irene August 26-28

On August 26th, Residents and Visitors to Ocean City were asked to evacuate because of a possible Category 1 Hurricane, Irene.

Due to some unusually heavy rains, during high tide, the back lot was flooded. Please be aware of your car on the street and in the lots during bad weather.

some great cooks here at The Gardens Plaza

Bob has opened our koi pond. All of the fish have made it through the winter. We had to put a net on top of the pond because our resident hawk has been eyeing the fish, so Bob is out making sure they are "secure" as he is head of security.
